The school takes the wellbeing of students incredibly seriously and the health of students has been recognised by Stockport Councils Healthy Schools team with the enhanced healthy schools award.

Mrs Tanya Cross undertook a set of assessments along with three site visits to the school in order to judge if we qualify for this prestigious national award.

We were assessed against

  • Wellbeing
  • Student voice and student leadership
  • Attitudes and approaches to exercise
  • Attitudes and approaches to healthy food and lifestyles
  • School activities that promote positive and healthy lifestyles.

At the end of her visit she met with a number of students from year 3-13 and due to their outstanding comments, articulate approach and clarity about school improvement she was delighted to award the school with the enhanced HSA status.

Well done to everyone-well deserved.

You should also note that as she visits virtually all schools in the borough she was overwhelmed by the kindness , clarity and dedication of the students to their school. “The warmth and atmosphere grabs you the second you enter the building”.
