Mr Clements- Bedson will be ensuring that Stockport Campus is doing its bit next week for this national event.

Visit the British Science Association’s website to see what it is about and why they are focusing on science

We do have to say that scientists are generally quirky people but this is made all the more clear when the science ‘week’ runs for 10 days! Even Mr Clements-Bedson will need the help explaining the science behind this one!

Keep an eye on the web site for what we get up to in supporting this event

British Science Week (BSW) is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths – featuring fascinating, entertaining and engaging events and activities across the UK for people of all ages.

BSW provides a platform to stimulate and support teachers, STEM professionals, science communicators and the general public to produce and participate in STEM events and activities.

Anyone can organise an event or activity, and the British Science Association helps organisers plan by providing free activity and support resources. We welcome and support any type of organiser, from schools to community groups, from parents to large organisations. The resulting programme of events is a hugely varied and eclectic mix.

British Science Week 2015 saw over 5,000 events engage more than 1.6 million participants, with activities taking place across the UK. We are currently evaulating British Science Week 2016.

British Science Week 2017 will take place 10 – 19 March 2017
