“The British values of tolerance, democracy and respect for the law are promoted strongly through the school’s ethos and feature in the programmes for citizenship and personal, social, health and economic education (PSHEE).  Pupils are active participants in charitable work and fund-raising for local good causes.” SIS Monitoring visit report  November 2015

British Values at Northwich Campus

Decency, tolerance, concern for others, adherence to the rule of law and the democratic process are essential British values. Everyone at the school would  agree these values are accepted and promoted by every single person on the school site from students to parents; from trustees to teachers. The government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy – values of:

  • democracy
  • the rule of law
  • individual liberty
  • mutual respect
  • tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
